We were a party of 5 and had a disappointing Christmas lunch in the restaurant. I suppose the alarm bells should have rung when we were told we had to pre-order in November. The mushroom tartlet case served with soft boiled egg and hollandaise was made with a pre-manufactured sweet pastry base! The beef main course didn’t come with any vegetables or potatoes. The mushroom paste in the beef was the same mushroom paste used for the tart. The same brown powdered gravy that was served with the beef was also used for my wife’s turkey. The desert looked like it had been dropped before coming to the table. The coffee was like dirty dish water. And I paid ￡700 for the privilege! Merry Christmas Marco Pierre-White! We won’t be eating with you next year.
