Fraid and Jason were awesome to serve us as we had a great week at the pool bar. They were attentive and always saw us without drinks and managed to get us drinks assp .

Farid & Jason at the pool bar were AMAZING! I truly mean that. Their hospitality was top notch and I am so grateful ! They were kind , lovely, and ensured our group had fun.

Malgré que j'ai acheté mon voyage par l'entremise de Voyage Jaro / Air Transat, mes demandes au niveau de la chambre n'ont pas été respectées. Les employés à la réception n'ont pas tenu compte du type de chambre réservé et ont refusé de me fournir ce pour quoi j'avais payé. L'agent Transat sur place ne nous a pas supporté ni même l'employée de Jaro. Ils ont ajouté un lit simple dans un espace hyper restreint... on devait déplacer le lit pour pouvoir ouvrir la porte de chambre. La morale de cette histoire c'est que ?a ne vaut pas la peine de passer par un tierce pour réserver. Aussi, il faut savoir que le restaurant est fermé et qu'il n'y a que le buffet. Avec voyage transat, nous avions droit à deux expériences restaurant, mais puisque nous étions avec notre enfant nous n'avons pu en bénéficier avec l'h?tel partenaire adjacent ( adultes seulement). Le buffet avait peine à fournir. Les gens devaient patienter en moyenne 25 minutes pour qu'un plat soit de nouveau disponible. Le ménage n'était pas leur force. Les artefacts des anciens locataires étaient encore dans la chambre à notre arrivée. L'eau de la piscine était brouillée. L'électricité a fait défaut à trois reprises. Pensez à apporter une lampe de poche. Les points forts, la gentillesse des employés du buffet et du bar, la longue plage et la température. En résumé, ce n'est pas un bon rapport qualité prix. à notre départ le 24 décembre, les employés étaient très actifs pour l'arrivée des vacanciers en période d'achalandage. L'expérience peut sans doute être meilleure dans ces circonstances... mais c'est pas moi qui pourrais en témoigner.

My wife and I just returned from Hotel Villa Playa Samara(Dec 15 -20). Intitial reaction upon arrival; disappointment and frustration. Following a long travel day including a 2 hour drive from Guanacasta Airport in Liberia, we arrived at dusk to a resort with no power; sort of. Half the resort had power and we were put into a room with no power, which in a hot hot country means no air conditioning, no fan, no lights. After some roablocks put up by reception, and me being firmly assertive, we got moved to a room with power. (Thanks to Cesar who was very helpful and facilitated our move when other staff were just saying "no, no, no"). The room was decent but amenities are not as advertised. We had a fridge, but it was not stocked with even a bottle of water. We had a coffeemaker, but no coffee and not a single cup or mug in the room. We had a blow dryer mounted in the bathroom, but the outlet in the bathroom did not work. The only place we could sit in the room was on the bed....no chair in the room nor on the patio. Hot water is also a problem. Cold showers were the norm for the week. We talked to other guests, and no one we encountered had hot water, nor mugs no coffee, nor stocked fridges. The location is beautiful. Beachfront and the beach is gentle and the ocean warm. You can pay locals to ride horses or rent kayaks right on the beach. The pool was wonderful and never overcrowded. The food was average. Usually a selection of 5 or 6 hot items with soup and salad also available. The buffet was slow to be refilled, and the desserts .went fast. Entertainment everynight at dinner. We had some fantastic waitstaff; Jose and Valerie were outstanding. Overall we had a relaxing enjoyable stay after the first night, and many guests had similar experiences on their first nights. Even the frequent power interruptions did not spoil the rest of our stay. All that said, not one guest we spoke to said they would return to Hotel Villa Playa Samara. We will not either. We made the best of our stay with the mindset if you are lucky enough to be in Costa Rica then you are lucky enough.

Tenemos a?os de venir acá, en verdad esta vez la experiencia culinaria ha sido única; porciones, sabores, flexibilidad, variedad y sobre todo el servicio... ha sido una verdadera experiencia memorable! El chef Junior, y los otros como el de pizzas, la guía de David y Sergio! Sin duda volveremos nuevamente. Si quieres un lugar para descansar, recargar energía y sobre todo estar frente al mar con todas las comodidades debes venir acá.

Muy agradecida con el personal de recepción saloneros y bartender d piscina Hazel y Brenda x su excelente trato y trabajo un 20 d 10 para ellas personas humildes y muy trabajadoras x más personas como ellas las instalaciones muy lindas y limpias

Mère Nature a été généreuse c?té précipitations pendant mon séjour. Par contre, le staff de l'h?tel a été des plus accueillants. Merci Luz, Wendy, Gerald, Eden,... Aussi Monkey Tours Samara: Ricardo pour le kayak et la sortie en mer. Pura Vida!

The staff were amazing . So attentive and helpful. Especially Fressia she made us feel so welcome. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. Quick walk to the beach . The weather was rainy but we still had a great time. Did horse riding and 4 wheelers while we were here

Our stay was great. We stayed in one of the villas. Staff were super friendly and they were always happy to go the extra mile to make our vacation extra special. Fressia welcomed us for breakfast every day at the restaurant with a big smile for us and our girls. She was amazing with our girls. Food was great. Rolo at the beach club was very kind and friendly. Lunch at the beach club was amazing and dining right in front of the beach was paradise. Facilities are very well-kept and clean, pool is big and safe for kids, decor is beautiful. We will come back ??

We spent a wonderful week at this hotel. A very beautiful place! White houses buried in flowers and exotic plants. Clean spacious room, with daily cleaning and fresh towels,AC. There was a problem with hot water, but it was quickly resolved by Naum Flores and Denis.At breakfast and lunch we were greeted with a smile by Husel, Roger,Kandall and Fresia. They created a pleasant and kind atmosphere.Since it is now low season,we were kindly offered to visit the restaurants of Azura. Here we were surrounded with care and attention by Steven, Jass Tatiana,Jose,Likiry.We express special gratitude to the all cooks of the both resorts. All dishes are very tasty and beautiful presented. The work of professionals. Live music every night.Super! A wonderful beach with an endless coastline and a warm ocean. We thank all the staff for a wonderful vacation. For everyone who loves good service, delicious food, good rest, this place for you.But don't forget to bring mosquito repellent.
