A charming gem with exceptional service — The staff, specifically: Mario (reception), Elvin & the chef (restaurant) went above and beyond! Quality of food (dinner and breakfast) was superb, free Netflix access in the room a bonus! Downside: very thin walls.

We had a truly lovely stay at this charming hotel, perfectly located in the center of Montagu. A special thank you to Mario at the front desk for the friendly and warm welcome, as well as Elvin and the chef at the restaurant, who went above and beyond to accommodate our special food requests at dinner. The meal was excellent, and breakfast the next morning was just as impressive— wide array of fresh and delicious fares. Our room was comfortable, and the free Netflix access was a great bonus—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The only downside was the thin walls—we could hear our neighbors' conversations, which slightly impacted the overall sense of peace. Still, this hotel is a fantastic choice if you're staying in Montagu.

We stopped in at Montagu Country Hotel for a Father’s Day lunch and really enjoyed the experience. The food was very tasty – the roast beef was unfortunately a bit overcooked compared to the medium rare advertised, but otherwise the meal was solid and satisfying. The hotel itself is lovely, with beautiful art deco touches that give it real character. We were pleasantly surprised to find out about the town tour in one of their classic Cadillac cars – such a fun extra and a real highlight of the day! All in all, a great way to spend Father’s Day – good food, great setting, and a bit of unexpected fun on the side.

Teleurstelling in Montagu Het hotel oogt van buiten erg mooi en straalt statigheid uit. Maar binnen is het ouderwets en erg gedateerd. De kamer was redelijk maar de badkamer was erg vies met schimmel, lekkende kranen en een doorlopende toilet. Het ontbijt was erg beperkt en zag er niet uitnodigend uit. Het is duidelijk geen 4sterren waard wel is het hard toe aan een renovatie en upgrade. Hotel ligt midden in een doods stadje waar weinig te beleven is. Kortom het is het geen aanrader om daar te verblijven

Chose this hotel as a one night stop (halfway) between Wilderness and Cape Town. And we were definitely not disappointed. Old style but quaint and well maintained. It has kept an old charm but is still modern (beds and bathrooms). Very nice breakfast display. Luscious gardens and small, functional pool for a cool down. We had an amazing dinner just 5 min walk around the corner at “22 Church Street” (need to reserve’). Easy to walk to and safe at night. We can def. recommend Montagu C. H.

Der Komplex besteht aus zum Teil sehr sch?nen, alten Geb?uden. Unser Zimmer war sehr ger?umig mit einer sehr hohen Decke. Das Mobiliar ist dem Raum angepasst. Das Badezimmer war eher etwas karg, aber absolut zweckm??ig. Eine gewisse Ringh?rigkeit muss man bei solchen beeindruckenden Bauten Kauf nehmen - z.B. laute Gespr?che im Nebenzimmer oder Rollkoffer auf dem Korridor, aber es war nachts sehr ruhig. olde world hotel - step back into time with romantic dinner , art deco furniture , excellent service, friendly attentive welcoming staff, breakfast and dinner were excellent , fresh croissants and lovely cut up fruit were my favorite at breakfast - dinner had their weeks special oxtail and mash with vegetables - fall off the bone and delicious. wifi was very good and available everywhere . can be noisy until locals have gone to bed as it’s on main road but after 8 pm went quiet. pleasantly surprised at the delicious food at the hotel

Il s’agit d’un bel Hotel, Rustique situé sur un site enchanteur. Petit déjeuner inclus, avec une belle variété. Les chambres sont immenses, lit king, grande salle de bain, avec bain à remous. Belle court et piscine sur place, tres bon service.
