My partner and I stayed at this lovely hotel for 3 nights in January. We had a lovely room.We liked the location. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the hotel.

Beautiful clean room with lovely mid century furniture. Extremely spacious and well appointed. The staff could not do enough. From carrying our luggage, setting the television to our liking or proving us with sparkling clean towels for the pool the surroundings are so peaceful, the patios are shaded havens of calm and serenity. The breakfast was lovely sitting under the shade of enormous trees accompanied by the happy chatter of birds

Montagu is a nice little town. We walked around with guidence of a informative map from the hotel. A lovely garden with pools where we relaxed before an excellent dinner. Friendly owner and staff.

A beautiful serene setting for a breakaway. Ramps are a bit steep but doable with help. They have x1 wheelchair accessible room. The one I stayed in needs the front bars removed from the wash basin so your knees can go under. A toilet raiser seat for paraplaegics is required & bar/grab rails. The shower is huge but needs a shower chair. Service of staff & owner is impeccable.

Was für ein herrliches Hotel im kolonial Stil gebaut. Herrlicher Garten, Zimmer und Bad sehr gross. Hatte Zimmer im Bungalow. Swimmingpools. Exquisite M?bel. Gemütlich. Essen hervorragend. Bin begeistert. Alles top.

The hotel was recommended by a friend who visits Montagu regularly. Very warm welcome on arrival and we were shown to our room which is located We booked Luxury Victorian which was located in a separate building (originally a separate home) which was fabulous, a large double volume room with a large adjoined bathroom (walk in shower and freestanding Victorian bath tub). The only downside was the sound ingression from the authentic doors and wooden passage. The pool and garden area is an ideal space to relax and enjoy the day. The hotel is furnished in an art deco style, with a restaurant called Charlestons and a Bootlegger coffee shop. And there is secure on-site parking as well. We had a truly lovely stay at this charming hotel, perfectly located in the centre of Montagu. We would highly recommend if you are going to stay in Montagu.

The WiFi is very poor and not Hi Speed ! The Flat TV in the rooms only have Netflix and with poor WiFi you cannot stream anything. The food in the restaurant is below average. However the staff are very friendly and helpful.

With regards to wifi, we are fortunate to have a good service provider, but at time here in the platteland the whole village is affected by outages. Luckily this does not happen often, and guest have the opportunity to get away from screen pressure and just enjoy the tranquility the Klein Karoo is known for. Regards, P-J Basson

Centrally situated, the friendly and helpful staff add to the experience. The location is perfect for day trips to the surrounding area and towns. Attention to detail and very clean. Garden seating area is ideal to just relax. Lovely decor. Old style hospitality. Excellent food. Highly recommended.
