Firstly I would like to say how welcome the staff are in this hotel. Myself and my daughter were made to feel very welcome. Our room was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated . Unfortunately one of the taps in the bathtub was broken so we couldn't use it. We had dinner in the bar. We waited a good half an hour after ordering to receive our meals. Portion sizes were great and the food was tasty, however it needed to be hotter. Because we waited so long for the meals to arrive we were too hungry to complain. A good selection at breakfast and what you would expect from a hotel. We enjoyed our stay but I wouldn't rush back

The property itself was nice and our room was too. However, the shower situation was a mess and created a puddle of water on the floor of our bathroom. I could not shower comfortably with the set up.

Once again the staff were amazing at this hotel, the hotel itself is a beautiful place to stay, Ana in the restaurant was so helpful as were all the staff, I would definitely recommend this hotel and I hope to stay there again in the near future...I had 20 German guests also staying at the hotel and they were all of the same opinion....Fantastic....well done guys..

I suppose the risk of arriving after 7pm to check in for one night is that you take whatever room they offer. I was staying for the first time on business at the Kilkarney Oaks Hotel. From the outside it seems like a nice hotel and as soon as you enter the spacious and luxurious foyer you get the feeling that this is no ordinary 4 star hotel. The decor is beautiful, between the freshness of grey tones and the crystal chandeliers, no expense has been spared. Check in was fast and pleasant and I was assigned my room. However, the room was a slight let down. The size was no bigger than I would expect from any Itish hotel room. But I wasn't expecting it to be crammed full of beds! I was staying as an individual, but had the choice of a small double bed or either of two single beds. I thought it was like Goldilocks choice, but I refrained from seeing if one was too hard, one too soft and one just right! If this was considered a family room them it was for a tiny family who liked living on top of each other. I had to rearrange furniture just to get to the window to close the curtains. As a businessman I tend to get to my room and stay in it until bedtime. But this room was very unwelcoming. Don't get me wrong, it was spotlessly clean, fresh and felt like it had just been totally redecorated. It just wasn't a nice place to be because of the number of beds along with a table and 2 chairs. I'm glad I only stayed 1 night. I might give it another go the next time I'm in Killarney but I'll be more circumspect about defining what is acceptable as a place of comfort.

Killarney Oaks hosted our gaa football social in early January. A huge crowd attended and the service from the first day booking right through to the night was absolutely outstanding. Management did everything to make the planning easy and the staff on the night were exceptional. Fabulous meal and such attentive staff for such a large crowd. Thank you so much to all the helped us for what was a huge occasion for our club.

Visited here today for lunch between half one and half two. Got served by two really efficient professional girls, i didnt get their names but they were brilliant at their jobs. Menus were brought quickly and they were very attentive. Lovely bright airy bar and restaurant as well. Great selection on the menus. It was so refreshing to see good old fashioned items on the menu like bacon and cabbage, lamb and beef as these are hard to come by in other places which usually serve the same 'chips and burger' type everywhere so it was nice to just have a normal dinner. Great selction and variety of vegetables with the meal as well and they were cooked well. Great portion sizes too. Place is immacutely clean as always. Bathrooms kept in great condition. Keep up the good work!

Stayed 2 nights for a family wedding- service was excellent, food in the bar was very good, food at wedding was of a very high standard for a wedding reception, bedroom very spacious and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and coffee was very good. Would highly recommend.
