We are no strangers to the Lake District and make a number of visits each year. The area offers a phenomenal range of accommodation in some fantastic locations but we have settled on Broadoaks as our hotel of choice. They have a variety of rooms and lodges which are not only of the highest quality but all have their own unique features. The food is superb and the staff are excellent. Also, the location couldn't be better placed in terms of being centrally located within the Lake District. There are walking opportunities from the door or public transport to all parts only a few minutes walk down the road. We tried Broadoaks once and are now hooked. We can't recommend it highly enough.

We enjoyed an excellent Afternoon Tea in beautiful surroundings. Lewis and the staff were friendly and welcoming. They showed us into what could be called The Music Room as the main dining area was set for a forthcoming wedding. Our table was in the window with views over the hotel drive and surrounding countryside and Lake Windermere. The tea was beautifully served on a three tiered stand and comprised mini sausage rolls, quiche, sandwiches followed by scones and cream, mini raspberry Eaton mess and a fine array of patisserie. All were made at the hotel. It was so much that we were grateful to be able to take away the uneaten goodies. Overall, it was a lovely experience.

The afternoon tea was ￡22.50 each and was worth the money. The staff were lovely especially the lady on reception sure she said she had been there a month but we arrived early and was allowed to sit and wait inside and if we wanted an drink from the bar whilst waiting and the Scouse man was always checking if we needed any more drinks and explained what we was eating exactly when serving us the after tea. I also had an accident and spilt my bru all down the table cloth and he was very understanding when I told him. Would definitely recommend.

From arrival to leaving this hotel ticked all the boxes . The staff couldn’t do enough for you . Everyone worked hard to make our stay wonderful. Most hotels have good food ? This place has cooked up a storm . I would even say exceptional. ( I have been to many hotels so can happily give this review) presentation, variety and of course taste . Alcohol was not expensive in my opinion. Breakfast was the same . Our room was the boudoir. Couldn’t fault it , tastefully decorated and warm . Robes and shower gells provided . Jacuzzi an added bonus . If I could say that the only thing I felt would benefit the room ( in my opinion) is vanity table could use a lamp and the bathroom could do with either a bigger bath mat or something none slip putting on the floor or a warning sign to say it may get slippy . This is only because when you put the jacuzzi on the water can go over . Other than this I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and stay again.

Stayed one night last night on a deal which included a 4 course dinner and breakfast. Every member of the staff team we met was lovely really helpful and friendly. We stayed in cedar which has a large corner bath and super king sized bed. If you open the window you can hear the river running by which for me was very relaxing and therapeutic. I wasn't keen on the memory foam mattress but that is personal choice, my husband had the best night's sleep ever. The evening meal was definitely worth 12/10 everything fresh and delicious and the price of wine was really reasonable. Breakfast this morning was plentiful and of excellent quality served again by friendly efficient staff. Looking out for this deal because we would definitely stay again.
