Old room no hot water very run down property

In the past- this was a remarkable hotel- so I booked it again- after flying cross country - the room was not ready til 4 w no real help of what to do for 4 hours - the staff didn’t care. Very staid- no personal service. The room was dated and cold: the small patio facing the next door garbage. Could hear everything in room upstairs- the bedside alarm went off at 4am- the water was warm not hot- the personnel were totally indifferent to this horrific stay which I left early- they were kind enough to reduce the rate from 1500 to 1300

The restaurant was exceptional as were the door staff. The front desk and pool service was uneven and should be encouraged to be more guest centered rather than preoccupied. The room had various issues eg. shower door wasn’t sealed well letting water out, room safe needed to be reprogrammed and champagne in the mini bar was flat. It is a beautiful hotel that is in need of TLC.

We had a great stay on a weekend away. The staff was helpful and friendly, the grounds were beautiful and the accommodations were superb. We enjoyed proximity to the beach, shopping and dining. Even our furbaby had a great time and was welcome!
