We stayed at this quaint river side accommodation on our way down to Yeovil to celebrate my brothers 70th Birthday We had an afternoon in Worcester and travelled to 7 miles to this hotel perched on the banks of a very swollen river seven and what beautiful setting and on first appearance it looked as others had said a little dilapidated, which doesn’t help that we were in the middle of winter But fear not and as they say ‘never judge a book by its cover ‘ and this is true if this place The room we were shown too had the most marvellous view of the river through the floor to ceiling window with access to a balcony via the patio door The room wax large and well equipped as was the bathroom Oh and the food we had for our evening meal and the breakfast in the morning was absolutely superb and the the price we paid ,was outstanding

The interior is better than the exterior. My wife ordered the lamb stew. It came without the vegetables on the menu. Then paid the bill later to be accosted by a member of staff suggesting that l owed them money???

We are regulars at the Lenchford & booked in with our family for Christmas day. It was their first time opening on Christmas day & you would not of known. The whole duration went without a hitch. Staff a plenty & all very attentive. Unfortunately I didnt take any photos of our food as we were too busy enjoying it & each other's company. They'd hadn't crammed in extra tables to make more money. They really did concentrate on all parties. We had a mixture of starters & puddings. Including a fussy child who wanted a plain starter & pudding, nothing was too much trouble. Please dont be put off by recent negative reviews. We attend as a family often & have never had a bad meal nor service. Thank you again to all the staff that worked hard for Christmas day.

Stopped here for old times sakes and was glad I did. Still as stunning as it was 15 years ago and bought back many a memory. Rooms are pretty standard, nice and cosy with a coffee machine within. Rooms have access to a terrace overlooking the river. We would have definitely taken advantage of a nice coffee overlooking the river in the morning, had it not been October! Evening meal was absolutely delicious and the breakfast that was included was wonderful. There is a full breakfast menu to choose from, which is unusual for a bed and breakfast. Plenty to choose from. Plenty of drink choice and I note people moaning about some beer prices being £7 a pint, and I was also a little shocked at first. But then, I think you need a bit of realism. Yes, it might be £1 or so more a pint than some locations but am I happy to spend that extra £1 to help keep the pub open? Absolutely. Far too many good pubs shutting down because they aren’t making money. It is what it is, enjoy it, as you’d miss it if it closed its doors. Only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars, is because we were told the bar was open until 11pm, any time after that you had to use a 24hr door to access the pub (if you went out). We were back for around 10pm, the pub was shut and we had no idea where the 24hr door was and was left wandering round trying to find it in the rain. Other than that small issue, I’d definitely recommend the bar and hotel. Staff were lovely, food was great, location is stunning.

Upon arrival I was worried as the outside of the Lenchford did not look overly appealing and looked a bit "motelesque". However, we needn't have worried as we were greeted warmly and shown to our rooms. We had booked 3 double and 1 twin room as we were a party of 8. The two first floor double rooms were clean, modern, spacious and had a very comfortable bed. The pillows were comfortable and the bedding felt of decent quality. The bathroom was relatively modern and little touches such as ear buds, cotton pads and sanitary products were nice to see. There was a balcony with furniture overlooking the river and although we didn't really utilise this as it was October, I can imagine in the summer it would be a lovely place to sit and enjoy a morning cuppa. Parking was in abundance. The surrounding area was quiet. The food in the pub was tasty, the pool table was a welcome surprise and the breakfast choices (which are included in the room price) were great! The rooms were cosy and warm and there was even an extra heater if you felt you needed it. All staff we encountered were excellent, friendly, attentive and amenable. There were a few small niggles, the bathrooms in the double and twin on the second floor were very dated which did not match the rooms modern vibe. There were quite a few cobwebs with dead spiders/bugs in them. It would have been nice to see these finer details thought of and cleaned. The outside balcony areas are in desperate need of a clean and repaint, the windows are also in desperate need of a clean. Overall, we had a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again if we were staying in the area again. The price for 2 nights and breakfast was excellent value for money.

Stopped here for a break while travelling on the M5. Scenic location beside the River Severn in a very quiet and peaceful spot outside the village. Plenty of parking space. The room was attractive (with a balcony running the length of the building and with outside furniture) and spacious with decent quality fittings however it smelt rather musty and damp (due to the proximity of the river perhaps?). Clean with good amenities including a Nespresso machine. However the bathroom was desperately outdated and depressing. All fittings in a state of slight disrepair. The entire building shows its age and sadly its lack of decent upkeep. However we were warmly welcomed by the very friendly staff and the price we paid meant it was decent value for money. Dinner and breakfast menus offered plenty of choice in the large riverside restaurant. We enjoyed white bait as a starter and good ham egg and chips. Breakfast was varied and also good value. Homemade pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup and bacon and egg sandwiches were a tasty start to the day.
