Guest：Charming small hotel in city center. Rooms have been renovated with modern bathrooms. Owners could not be more eager to help. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner no longer served but there are very good options down the block or short walk away. Highly recommend and would stay there again.
Guest：We're staying in room 6 of this hotel over the Easter 2012 weekend and I highly recommend this place. We are a married couple with two small children and this room, #6, is a really good choice for a family, as it has a queen size bed, a single bed and room for a crib. The hotel is very centrally located on a beautiful, pedestrian street in Freiburg's beautiful, pedestrian-only old town. The room seems to have been very recently renovated. Very nice flat panel tv, nice bathroom fixtures, and, most importantly, very comfortable beds. Water pressure could have been better, but that's the only slight negative I can think of. The staff is fantastic- very helpful and they speak English, which is nice. Our room came with breakfast which is very high quality. Super fresh, tasty croissants, very good bread, mueslix, some other cereals, very good cold cuts and a few other options. Not a huge quantity of choices but the quality is first rate. Good coffee and cappucinos too. I would return here in a heartbeat.
Guest：I went with my boyfriend to Freiburg for the weekend and we stayed in this charming hotel. Arriving in the old town of Freiburg is already a pleasant way to look for this hotel. Wondering the cobbled streets, passing by beautiful small boutiques and gourmet shops. One of the things I liked the most about this hotel was the location and its surroundings. The pedestrian street is quiet and car free yet lively with by passers on guided tours. It immediately gave me the holiday feeling. It is less than a minute from the Munster and a few minutes far from the shops. The trails for the Schwarzwald are a short walk away. Even if the hotel is located in a pedestrian area the parking is just round the corner. The hotel looks traditional from the outside but inside is decorated in a boutique style, I loved the contrast. It has two entrances, through the restaurant and through a small reception area with a beautiful marble staircase. Our room was big, I loved the wooden floors and the bed was really comfy. The views were the beautiful cobbled street and the traditional German houses with lots of plants and flowers. I really liked that there was free bottles of water in the room. The breakfast was downstairs in the cosy restaurant. There was real coffee and freshly cut fruit salad! All in all a fantastic hotel and definitely worth the money. This was a romantic get away and to stay here made it perfect.
