If you are looking for a B&B with a spectacular view of mountains and the Kenmare river with a bedroom that is warm, spacious and immaculate, then Tara Farm is an excellent choice! Our host Anne was welcoming and made as feel at home. The breakfast is delicious. You can have a buffet of cereals, fruits, toasts and jams, as well as a made-to-order choices of eggs and bacon or salmon. Coffee, tea and orange juice are also served at your individual tables. And the servers are happy! The B&B has great location with Kenmare town centre close by. We could not be happier for the 3 nights we spent on this B&B!
We stayed at Tara farms 2nd and 3rd night. We were welcomed warmly, I was in contact with Anne on our way. And she was waiting for us when we got there. We were taken to our room and given all the information needed, especially the internet password for the kids:) Our room was beautiful, roomy, and clean, and had a beautiful view. We had the top floor all to ourselves which was good since we are a family of 5. When we went for breakfast we were greeted with a smile and were given a few choices for breakfast. The service was excellent. One of the best places we stayed at. Anne, thank you to you and your family for our wonderful stay, and wonderful memory. Wir hatten das gro?e Glück, im Tara Farmhouse in Kenmare zu übernachten – und es war einfach traumhaft! Schon beim Ankommen spürt man, dass es ein echtes Familienunternehmen ist: herzlich, pers?nlich und unglaublich gastfreundlich. Die Gastgeber hatten immer ein offenes Ohr, haben sich interessiert nach unseren Ausflügen erkundigt und uns jeden Tag gro?artige Tipps gegeben, was man noch entdecken kann. Man fühlte sich nicht wie ein Gast, sondern fast wie ein Teil der Familie. Unser Zimmer war wundersch?n – mit Meerblick, einem bunten Blumenmeer vor dem Fenster und einer atemberaubenden Aussicht auf die sanften Hügel Irlands. Es war ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen und Entspannen, einfach perfekt. Besonders hervorheben m?chte ich das Frühstück: frisch, reichhaltig und absolut k?stlich. Jeden Morgen durften wir ausw?hlen, ob wir Pancakes, Rührei oder Spiegeleier wollten – alles wurde mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Da ich mich gluten- und laktosefrei ern?hren muss, war ich anfangs etwas unsicher. Doch das stellte überhaupt kein Problem dar: Es war alles vorhanden, und ich wurde bestens versorgt. Das hat mich wirklich beeindruckt! Für mich war der Aufenthalt im Tara Farmhouse ein echtes Highlight meiner Irlandreise. Wer Herzlichkeit, pers?nlichen Kontakt, ein gemütliches Zimmer mit traumhafter Aussicht und ein liebevoll zubereitetes Frühstück sucht, ist hier absolut richtig. Ich kann es von Herzen weiterempfehlen.
Ausgezeichnete, ruhige Lage mit Blick auf grüne Hügel und die Kenmare Bay. Sehr freundlich Gastgeber. Die Zimmer sind gross, hell, sehr sauber und sch?n gestaltet. Das Bad hell mit F?n, Duschgel, Seife und Shampoo ausgestattet. Die Dusche mit zwei Duschk?pfen. Das Frühstück ist mehr als ausreichend. Viele verschiedene, frische Früchte ( Erdbeeren, Bananen, Blaubeeren, Pfirsich, Nektarinen, Melone..), Cerialien, Rührei, Lachs, Speck, Pancake, Brotsorten, Marmeladen, Joghurtsorten...
There were six of us (3 couples) staying at Tara Farms in August for 2 nights Anne gave us the option to stay in the house next to her primary BnB property. We are so glad we did. It was very modern, spacious and had a patio to enjoy the beautiful views. It was nice to have our own space, and also be able to delight in the amazing breakfast offered. Not only did she provide fruits, breads, cereals and yogurts; but she made a tasty breakfast to order. Boy, was that a treat. The place was very reasonably prices and the location was so great. It was in the countryside, but close enough to take a beautiful walk to the Kenmare. The perfect location. Anne was very helpful with helping us pick out a restaurant and even called the restaurant to make a reservation for us. The only thing we wish we had done was to stay at Tara Farms at least one more day. There were so many sights to see and things to do in the area. We'll just have to come back! We highly recommend Tara Farms!
We had a wonderful stay with Anne at Tara Farm. All booking information & details of our stay were exactly as noted in all emails of correspondence with Anne. We were Pleasantly surprised when we arrived to be offered the self contained apartment 3 doors down the road from the main house where breakfast was served each morning that was so delicious. The apartment style accommodation which is beautiful & modern & and view that you can’t stop looking at along with the friendly resident cows that wander past each morning & afternoon. Anne was so helpful with suggestions on places to visit, restaurants to dine at & history of the area. Kenmare is a lovely village within walking distance to Tara Farm. Would definitely stay again with Anne & can highly recommend you book to stay in Kenmare at Tara Farm.
We had a wonderful stay of 2 nights at Tara Farm B&B. We were offered to stay in an additional house: lots of space, almost new and very well equiped. Breakfast at the ‘main’ building with a wonderful sight over the valley and the surrounding area. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. Our host was very nice and was so kind to send us the iPAD that we forgot in the room to our destination later that week. Great service!
My family enjoyed staying at Tara Farm for 4 nights. The inn has lovely views from the breakfast room, the back patio, and from most of the rooms. The rooms were comfortable, and the beds were very comfortable. The innkeeper Anne is welcoming and lovely. Breakfast was very good with a choice of eggs and bacon, eggs and salmon, or pancakes, plus fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese, cereals, and more. Town is walkable from the inn, and Kenmare is a great town. We enjoyed the live music everywhere. Walking the neighborhood near the inn was also lovely. We too left an iPad behind, and Anne also sent ours on to our next destination. Great service!
Mooi gelegen B&B vlak bij het oergezellige en bruisende Kenmare. Perfecte uitvalsbasis voor het ontdekken van het prachtige County Kerry. De eigenaren waren zeer vriendelijk en zorgen voor een warm welkom. Ontbijt was uitgebreid en zeer goed.
We stayed at the estuary at Tara Farms in Kenmare. The views are beautiful and the B&B is lovely. It was very clean and perfectly maintained, everything looked fresh and new. There was plenty of space, a kitchen and W/D. There was seating outside to relax and enjoy the amazing scenery. It’s a short walk down the road to the town past beautiful homes and cows and chickens. There are shops, pubs, restaurants and grocer’s all within walking distance. I highly recommend Tara Farms, you will not be disappointed.
