Popped in for something to eat on a long drive home from Burghley Horse Trials back up to Yorkshire. Hasn’t booked a table but they made room for us. Absolutely delicious food, good prices and lovely atmosphere. Actually sad I’m not a local as I’d be back in a heartbeat!

Another fantastic evening with gorgeous food and personal and warm service from.everyone who served us. It was busy with diners for a Thursday evening. We will definately visit again. Bear in mind the pirtions are large. The panzanella salad starter was beautiful.

Four of us visited for lunch today. The menu is varied and diverse I'm a positive way and includes regular pub favourites and imaginative diversions. The lamb rump curry was judged to be excellent by the two who ordered it. The pork rib dish was also beautifully presented and tasty. The fish and chips were fresh and crispy. We shared the special dessert and a ginger and Guinness sponge. Service was excellent ?? do give this place a try. It will not disappoint.

Been here twice recently and both visits the food was excellent Today we had Sunday roast 1 beef , 2 Pork, and 2 Pheasant and a children’s meal. Probably the best roast dinner in a pub we’ve ever had. All freshly cooked fantastic roast potatoes and Yorkshires well!! Tasty vegetables too. Would highly recommend. Staff were great as well.

Great stay. Food and room excellent. Staff helpful and friendly. Gemma, Nick and Suzanne hello to you all ! The owner Amanda certainly runs a lovely place to be. We are hoping to come back with friends for a longer visit when the weather is better.

We had a very good Sunday lunch ,the service was excellent , and all the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our lunch was very good with very tender roast beef,,the first courses were all good as were the deserts,not a Michelin gastro pub but extremely good , well cooked and presented food well worth going to and knowing about we will definitely go again to break our drive off the A1 , I do recommend it

Had an overnight stay here with family. The accommodation was very good and the restaurant was excellent, experiencing both a tasty and good value for money dinner and a hearty breakfast. What was really outstanding was the friendliness of the staff We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again

Stumbled across this whilst looking for a pub with food . It was very busy but we asked the bar staff if any chance of food sbd they immediately found us a table . The menu was varied and a specials blackboard . Ordered pork from the specials which was lovely and the service was excellent. So glad they managed to find us a table . …… it’s dog friendly too .

This is such a lovely place to stay. Thee rooms are great, spacious and very comfortable with so many small and considerate touches. More than ample tea and coffee facilities, a massive, cosy bed, a roomy bathroom, and good WiFi to top it all off. The food is very good indeed with a wide choice, reasonable prices, good helpings and accompanied by a wide choice of drinks. Breakfast is excellent - cooked to order and everything that you could want on a Lincolnshire morning. Most importantly the service from every single member of staff is so warm helpful and welcoming. We can't wait for our next chance to visit again.
