  • Guest：The room had everything we needed, from chocolate biscuits to a hair dryer. The room was very comfortable and extremely clean. The shower was fantastic. The staff in the pub were very friendly, which was also clean with a good selection of drinks
  • Guest：This pub is one of those where if you’re local, you’re welcome and if you aren’t, the big blonde bird behind the counter asks you loads of questions and you feel like it’s a police interview. Bar staff are possibly catty. Didn’t get a good vibe from the big blonde bird. Food is average, customer service is not great. Probably best to drive to Buckminster.
  • Guest：Arrived for a drink and hopefully get a table for dinner . Told not serving food on Saturday evening this week ……. Appreciate it’s a village pub and luckily we were staying somewhere else so could go elsewhere for food but I think you would be grumpy if staying there with no food available.
  • Guest：The Royal Oak is not doing food at the moment, so this was room only while we visited friends locally. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean, and far superior to the hotel room in which we had stayed the previous night (at twice the price). I gather that, like so many hospitality businesses, the Royal Oak has been struggling post-lockdown. I really hope it survives. It would be a sad loss if it closed.
