Guest：We used Hotel Palace as a base for exploring Cinque Terre hiking trails. Service was extremely friendly and helpful. Room met all our expectations. Clean and comfy. There was a fridge in the room but no kettle; but we were prepared for that. Shower was a bit narrow. For us that was OK. For a large person it could be cramped. Hotel is indeed charmingly decorated and in a very good location. Breakfast was fine, though some fresh vegetables for breakfast would also be nice. (I guess Italian's have their vegetables for lunch ;-). For the last evening we took the bicycles that the hotel offers, rode to Bonassola, and had some fried anchovies at the Ristorante Smash, just at the end of the vecchia ferrovia tunnel. A nice ending to a beautiful stay. We want to go back!
Guest：Clean rooms with good standard. AC works great. Nice and knowledgeable staff who told us about Levanto, Bonassola and Qinque Terre. Easy to get from the train station and find in town. Fantastic opportunity to borrow bikes and cycle between Levanto and Bonassola in the old train tunnels
Guest：A quaint hotel, well located in Levanto; just a short walk to the train station, beachfront and square. The rooms are a reasonable size and the beds are comfortable. The first thing we noticed was how spotlessly clean everything was, particularly the bathrooms. However, due to the reasons below, we didn’t have the peaceful stay we were hoping for: On our first night we were woken by a loud alarm connected to the lift that had been accidentally been triggered by something. As the hotel is left unattended overnight, we had to call the staff to come and take a look at it. In the end, it took about 45 minutes for them to arrive and fix the issue and we didn’t get back into bed until about 2am. Not an ideal start to our stay, but the staff were very apologetic. We were then woken at 7am the following morning by the other residents on our floor who felt it was necessary to have loud conversations outside our door and down the hallway. We could hear their footsteps loudly up and down the stairs and as they walked past our room. Additionally, none of the hotel doors are soft-close which meant there was constant banging as people were leaving for and coming back from breakfast. This was the running theme in the mornings for our 3-day stay unfortunately. Our impression is that the hotel is a popular stop for hikers who like to get going early in the morning. We were perhaps unlucky with the positioning of our room, as we were close to the stairs and also staying close to people who had absolutely zero consideration for those who may have wanted a more relaxing start to the day. We recognise this isn’t the hotel’s fault, but felt we needed to highlight to those wanted a more chilled stay. Additionally, the cleaning would begin from 8.30am (including hoovering) which seemed unusually early to us, again, giving the impression guests usually depart early for the day. Another thing to note is that breakfast was advertised as being served between 7-10am. We would arrive between 9-9.20am and the restaurant staff would already be clearing things away and setting up for dinner. One morning we arrived at 9am and were told there were no pancakes left but they’d “make some if we wanted some”, and on the next morning there were no scrambled eggs. If you’re going to advertise as breakfast being available until 10am, we’d expect everything to be available until 10am. After our stay we both felt pretty exhausted, and we were doing a lot of exploring and not getting much rest. So to sum up, the hotel was nice but wouldn’t recommend if you like a lie-in and a slow, peaceful start to your day.
Guest：Très bon hotel, bien situé. Proche du centre de la ville, de la plage et de la gare. Personnel très agréable. Chambre correcte avec un grand balcon (pour nous) Réfrigérateur et coffre fort. Excellent petit déjeuner. Parking gratuit dans la cour de l'hotel.
