everything was great apart from service in restaurant, i have stayed before but noticed last night was busy than usual , food took a long time and when it came it was cold , i has to send the chips back as stone cold, obviously had been sitting on the counter to be served for a long time.
staff were great but time was long.

I recently stayed at the Van der Valk Hotel Schiedam Rotterdam, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! The hotel was immaculate, with every corner sparkling clean and well-maintained. The modern rooms were stylish, comfortable, and equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The restaurant’s food was absolutely incredible—every dish was a delight, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The gym, pool, and sauna were top-notch, truly 5-star facilities that made unwinding a pleasure. I can’t recommend this hotel enough for anyone visiting the Rotterdam area—perfect for both leisure and business travelers!

Nice property with comfortable rooms. Missed the luxury mark by not having robes, slippers, or towels available in the wellness area. Towels had to be brought from the room, and robes cost 10 euro a piece. Bar upstairs only serves house cocktails and could not make a martini.

The staff at the reception are not very helpful, my laundry was lost for 5 days as the laundry is only done on week days and takes 2 days to get it returned. As I stayed in February and March the room is very cold, maximum 17 to 18 degrees Celsius. As I came for business I was lacking socket at the desk for the PC and a note pad for taking notes. Housekeeping could be improved and opening hours of the gym didn't match with my working hours for exercising. Breakfast buffet is very good, only opens late in the weekend for working people. Parking system is not flawless. Would not advise hotel as price is too high for the service rendered. I'm already staying for more than 10 years in a Van Der Valk hotel in Belgium location and there the price- quality ration is much better. I think Van Der Valk Schiedam suffer too much from the Dutch attitude.

De auto opladen en lekker lunchen. Alles was top. Wat jammer is, is dat je moet betalen voor je auto op te laden 7,50 voor parkeren. Nog nooit mee gemaakt het is altijd gratis. Dus kom je daar alleen voor laden van je Tesla zou ik daar zeker niet laden.

Great visit, new accommodation, easy access to the highway and lots of parking. Great wellness with amazing pool, perfect water temperature and great views over the city of Rotterdam and the port. Lovely breakfast as well. Will return !!!

ONLY RESTAURANT: It was a perfect location for an electric car driver. There are many facilities for charging the car and having a great meal in the restaurant—a nice restaurant to have Holland on one plate. So you get a variation of some signature dishes to try. It was a perfect lunch, and the waiters were very friendly.

Leuke ontvangst, zeker ook voor de kinderen. Acrobaten een draaimolen voor de kleintjes. Popcorn en hotdog stand. Een glas bubbels met en zonder alcohol werd aangeboden bij binnenkomst. Het leek wat chaotisch maar al snel liep alles op Rolletjes. We kregen we een leuke tafel.en kregen uitleg over de verschillende buffetten en de zalen waarover ze verdeeld waren. Het ontbrak aan niets. En alles zag er prima uit en smaakte heerlijk. Ook ter afsluiting het dessert buffet. Ook hier niets op aan te merken. 59 euro voor een brunch is flink aan de prijs maar het was de moeite waard. Natuurlijk was het enorm vol. Maar er waren geen wachtrijen bij de buffetten. Dus het was goed geregeld.

Een goed restaurant waar we buffet hebben gehad wat aangevuld werd door verse zaken zoals biefstuk of vis van de bakplaat. Voor families is dit een uitkomst omdat je vrij bent om te pakken waar je zin in hebt. Hier heb ik zelfs een oester genomen met andere zilte heerlijkheden. De hotelkamer is hier ook goed voor elkaar met ruime badkamer en een goed bed. Het uitzicht is ook best gaaf op 13 hoog. Gewoon Valk waardig.
