Guest user：Let’s just start out with some general statements… Caruso is a pretty fabulous property. The rooms are beautiful. The views are mesmerizing. The overall service is strong. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Caruso and used it at the back end of an Italian adventure with friends to relax. It delivered. We arrived in the later afternoon and were quickly whisked away to our suite. Attendants took our bags and delivered them promptly. Getting to our suite required a bit of cardio - up and down several flights of outdoor stairs and through some beautiful gardens. However, we were rewarded with suite 52 which offered a spectacular terrace overlooking a garden and the Golf of Salerno. Wow! Inside, a living area, dining area, sleeping area were all contained in one large room with large French doors that opened out on to the terrace. The sizable bathroom was clad in white marble and featured a large tub and two sinks. Suite 52 also offered something very unique in the way of an area of preserved ruins dating back to the original construction of the palace and a secluded study area in a second story. Needless to say, this suite is special and memorable. In our case, we were with friends and really looking to relax and unwind. As such, we spent most of our time by the pool. The infinity edged pool offers spectacular views and was a cool retreat from the hot July weather. Despite the hotel being full, there was plenty of space for everyone around the pool and attendants prevented guests from throwing stuff on loungers at 6am to secure a spot - all very civil. I would thank Donatella, Marco Sr. and Marco Jr. who kept everything running smoothly, constantly kept our umbrellas in the right place for shade and kept us hydrated with Aperol spritzes. Right next to the sun beds was the pool bar and grill where you could get pizza, pasta and salads. While there, we took advantage of Caruso’s complimentary boat ride from the town of Amalfi to Positano and back. The boat ride offered is convenient way to get to Positano and a wonderful way to see the coast line. The captain and the host on the boat were a delight and pointed out highlights along the way. I would definitely encourage anyone staying at the Caruso to take advantage of the service - it’s free and just a 20 minute shuttle ride down to the town of Amalfi. Caruso offers two dining options, one casual and one for fine dining. Both are in a similar location with amazing views. On our first night, we opted to eat at the Caruso Grill. Lorenzo took expert care of our table, recommending a simple preparation of a local shellfish with some pasta as well as some sides. He recommended a beautiful local rose to accompany the meal. We were very happy. On another night, we tried Belvedere, the fine dining restaurant which offers various tasting menus. In our case, we opted for the four course ‘Earth’ menu. Guest user：This was the most amazing hotel I have ever stayed in! The location has views of the Amalfi Coast. Their pool and grounds are stunning! The staff is amazing and they go above and beyond for you. We did the private beach club one day and were waited on with a private staff member for the day. Although the beach was not my favorite stop the service was perfect. The town surrounding the hotel is adorable there are great shops and restaurants. We took a short cab ride to a great restaurant recommended by the concierge one night. He was also amazing and helpful. We had an amazing room, it was like a little private villa with a patio outside. Every night we had a gift or treat left when they turned down our room. Slippers and a mat was left by our bed. They also have Dyson hair dryers in each room which was amazing since I could not bring mine. I needed a steamer one night and they brought it right to me. The breakfast was amazing every morning. So fresh and also had a great view. I can’t say anything negative, this was the best hotel ever and I will definitely come back!
Guest user：Still the best hotel in the Amalfi !!!! Love Caruso, simply the best in our view. We have tried all the competition, Le Sireneuse, JK Place , Il San Pietro , but in truth none of them can match the perfection of Caruso. We are biased as Belmond is our favourite hotel group in the world but we always will return to Caruso to celebrate our anniversary. This year despite lost luggage at the airport, gifted and amazing hotel manager Lolanda & Francesca at reception sorted everything out with little fuss and lots of treats including a little parcel of necessities being delivered to our [upgraded] room. The team are just top class, every one of them, The concierge , Reception, the gents out front, Pool & Restaurant folk, all long time team members and passionate. A world apart from the many in the industry who find the job a toil. These guys are proud as they should be, and enjoy every day in paradise
Guest user：This review is long overdue. Our six-night stay in June was nothing short of a fairy tale. Despite our frequent travels, this experience stands as one of the most enchanting and unforgettable of our lives. The staff's dedication to excellence was unparalleled. From the attentive poolside attendants to the delightful late afternoon snacks at the martini bar, serenaded by a live jazz singer and a guitarist, every moment was sheer bliss. The room service crew catered to our every whim, while the housekeeping duo surprised us nightly with delectable evening treats. A heartfelt thanks to the ever-gracious receptionists, Claudia and Francesca C., whose warmth made us feel at home. And not to forget the incredibly amiable and accommodating bell desk duo, Alex and Adriano, who went above and beyond ( returning the scooter). And finally Ciro, the host, was the most welcoming in arranging everything and managed to perfectly navigate a glitch in one of our excursions. Their exceptional service wove a tapestry of unforgettable memories. Grazie from San Francisco!
