Guest：It is difficult to review this hotel as in many ways it was very good and the majority of the staff were very helpful and friendly, most spoke English but it is lacking. A special mention should go to the food, the Lebanese restaurant and the Italian restaurant were exceptional and the breakfast buffet superb. If you are in the Delta for the birds and wildlife I would say this is not the hotel for you, the private trips are not cheap and the group tours poor, particularly the Sulina trip is awful, it is a mystery to me why they take anyone here. The hotel is lacking a bar and cafe, although when we were there the weather was not good so it may be different in the summer. If you want a river view then you really need to book a Bungalow to guarantee this. Overall a good hotel but would I go back..I am not sure.
Guest：Beautiful area, just excellent rooms and breakfast. You feel like you’re trapped in a paradise you can’t leave unless you pay serious money. There’s no store where you can buy water or beer at a normal price. On the funny side, a D&G Home store is opening next to the D&G clothing store, where you can buy D&G home products. Minibar prices are similar to those at the restaurant: Heineken 0.33L – 19 RON Johnny Walker Black 200ml – 200 RON Don Papa Rum 200ml – 300 RON White Wine "Caii de la Letea" – 95 RON Still Water 250ml – 20 RON Nutline Peanuts 135g – 40 RON Everything is overpriced, except for breakfast, which is well assorted. Most dishes are average in terms of quality and presentation, but still come with a premium price tag. Boat rides are expensive and don't offer much, and you can’t even get boat trips from locals. (HIGHLY discouraged by the concierge staff - about 1000 lei tax for this from what I've heard, so unofficial) Around 80% of the staff is from Asia, and communication is difficult – they barely speak English/Romanian. Check the menu carefully before you go, because there’s nothing else available – it’s like being on an isolated island. You get a maximum of two 0.5L bottles of Dorna water per day from room service. The room price paid on Booking does NOT include the Murighiol–Cri?an transfer, which costs 180 RON per person(two way trip). In the evening, they cause noise pollution across the whole village of Cri?an(with their tematic nights), and then complain that the Delta isn't what it used to be anymore. Most tourists I spoke with seemed disgusted by this business model.
Guest：The resort is full of amenities and they are very good at keeping you entertained and busy. Our disadvantage was that we visited during peak season and there were some snags like waiting for 2 hours to be checked in and some missunderstanding about dinner reservations but everything got sorted in the end by very helpful staff. We visited as a family group and everyone had a good time, grandparents, parents and kids. Even thought they were full, we still got to book trips, spa and all acrivities that we wanted. Overall, a stay we very much enjoyed.
Guest：Exceptional experience. Personally I haven't seen any other resort in Romania at this level. Truly 5 star, for service, food, amenities, activities, personnel etc.
