Guest：The Flag In Wivenhoe has just re-opened this week. We went in for a family meal last night & the place is beautiful . The decor, attention to detail and stunning new outside garden makes the place feel warm and welcoming. There is a lovely selection of meals on the menu with special daily offered on a separate menu Monday -Thursday. We had a great meal and our waiter had been well trained. He was polite. Knew the menu well and was very professional. We will be returning again
Guest：Easter Monday family birthday meal at the newly reopened Flag Inn. The menu, decor and staff are all lovely. Food was carefully presented and dietary needs considered attentively. Hope they change the menu regularly to keep fresh interest as we would love to come back soon.
Guest：Roast potatoes under done, boiled then roasted for too short a time, covered with lashings of tasteless gravy, no option given although I don’t like gravy on my food. When I brought this to the servers attention nothing was offered or done. Seated on a table looking into the kitchen watching the chief plate up my food with his hands. All in all a very disappointing Sunday lunch.
Guest：The Flag has recently been refurbished and the rooms are very comfortable. We ate at the Flag and there was a good selection of meals. The food was well prepared and presented. A good selection of wines. Service was lovely.
