I booked this apartment as I live on this development and wanted extra space for family to visit. I booked a studio for a week. It has a very odd layout with the bed under the window and the tiniest sofa in the world. It didn’t feel fresh or particularly clean, and although booked for nine nights there was no servicing undertaken. For the price charged this studio needs some design work and decoration. As it was it felt bare and unwelcoming.

My booking said, "One Bedroom Apartment with Balcony", I had a ground floor apartment with enclosed patio. The decking making up the patio area could do with jet wash and repainting. The carpets in the apartment look newish, shame the same couldn't be said about the rest. The cutlery and crockery were stained from where they had been washed and dried in the dishwasher, one knife still had food on it. The light in the kitchen, after a short period would switch itself off. Some floor tiles in the bathroom were damaged, cracked or loose, the shower head was small, the bath panel was falling off. The bedroom furniture looked old and tired the mattress was past its best.

Apartment supplied by Urban Spaces Customer Ref JB 93876 . App 100M 02/05/25 to 05/05/25 Not a serviced apartment but more spare capacity student digs. It felt like a relationship had split up and whoever left the premises had taken all the movable items and just left the heavy things . . no pictures, no ornaments, no cushions . . a really cold (not temperature) feel to the place, not homely or welcoming in the slightest Faults Shower head broken on vertical rail Sink in bathroom blocked Stained toilet Ceiling light in kitchen not working Ceiling smoke alarm in kitchen not working on test button Ceiling light are 5 bulb design. The ones that work all have bulbs out Living room windows dirty to the outside Black leather sofa dirty and stained Mattress springs worn / broken Good location 10 mins walk to pubs etc of Cardiff Bay . . 30 mins walk into the city

We were visiting Cardiff for a weekend to enjoy the city. We decided to go for this apartment as gave the option to do a bit of self catering as opposed to a hotel. The price was also favourable. Photos on the booking show views over Cardiff Bay or the river and I’m almost certain it said it had a king size bed. On arrival, I had failed to realise that parking wasn’t included, but thankfully the duty manager was able to quickly sort it out. Reasonable at ￡10 per night. The apartment block is well positioned for Cardiff Bay and is about a 10 minute walk. The gates complex makes it all feel safe and secure. I have only given this 3 stars as was a little disappointed with the apartment. It says the whole block is non-smoking, but the whole apartment smelt of stale smoke which as a non-smoker was pretty awful. It was clean and tidy. Don’t be fooled by the photos of the river or Bay. We had a ground floor place which just looked straight into another block of flats. The bed was a double. It was comfortable, but when you are used to a super king and expecting a king size, it was like sleeping in a single! Plenty of space in the room, so would be a good thing to improve the apartment. Nice little welcome pack including small bottle of milk, washing up liquid and a bin bag that lasted us the weekend. Did have an interesting experience when the steam from the shower set off the fire alarm. A strange set up where you have to switch on the extractor fan in the boiler room before thinking about having a shower. Could do with a sign in the bathroom as hadn’t read the instruction book by the time I had a first shower. We didn’t use the kitchen other than for the fridge and kettle as ate out each evening. Otherwise it had everything we needed and would recommend if you just want a base for exploring the city.

Excellent place to stay in Cardiff. Short taxi ride to the centre or a 25 minute walk. All the amenities that you’d need and excellent views of the River Taf from apartment 175 while you sit out in the sun to enjoy the views. Great communication

Staying here recently whilst visiting the University. The flats are in a great location, close to Cardiff Bay but within easy reach of Cardiff City Centre. All the information to check in is provided beforehand and when we arrived, which makes checking in very quick and easy. We paid extra for parking, which was reasonable at ￡10 per day. The apartments are gated and so it felt very safe. We had a 2 bedroom apartment, which was very spacious and had everything we needed for the weekend. Nice extra touches were provided such as bin bags, cleaning equipment and milk Everything was clean and tidy, although a little dated, could do with a fresh lick of paint maybe. Would definitely recommend and will definitely stay again if visiting Cardiff.

Lovely flat, ideally placed for Citty & Bay. Spotlessly clean. Comfy bed. Good Wi-Fi. Great view over the Taff. Would definitely stay here again, lots to do in Cardiff, with a great choice of places to eat.
