The place is lovely-a property full of coconut trees and with a view on the lake. You can reach the beach in 10 minutes on foot. The manager is attentive and professional. We had dinner there a few times and the food was great (they accommodate vegans :) ).

Overpriced hotel with very basic services
Broken hairdryer and a long wait as the service personel have no spare of anything. Had to wait for the staff to fix the mechanics of the dryer.
Also was overcharged for breakfast and had to argue the price
This is the best place we stayed in during our Sri Lanka trip. The villa only has two guest rooms so it is so quiet and you are sharing the beautiful pool with only 2 other people at the most. The room is perfect, so luxurious, with views out over the lagoon. The food at the restaurant is divine. The villa is a lovely and leisurely hour walk up the beach or quick cheap tuk tuk ride to the main drag of Hikkaduwa. Highly recommend!!!! We will be back.
We had the best time at Serendipity Lake house. Chathuranga was warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. It’s so peaceful and relaxing, and the food is delicious.
It’s very clean and well kept, oh and the boat trip around the lake and kayaking are a must! Thank you for making our time with you so special ??

We spent 10 amazing days on the Lake on this Villa, very beautiful and well-groomed territory with views of the Lake. Quiet. They met Dawn. To the ocean go minutes 10. Morning delicious breakfast. I want to express my gratitude to the administrator of Chataranga. Always gave information on vacation, accompanied us to the temple. I recommend this place for those who want to enjoy the silence, beauty.
