Unfortunately this was the only available accommodation in Scone and it was a about as good/bad as I expected. The room itself was reasonably new and the bed was comfotable which was a good start. The ensuite bathroom was very basic with no toiletries other than a small bar of soap and a very small basin above cracked tiling. At least the shower had hot water. The TV in the room didn't work, but the wifi was fine. The biggest problem was the noise. Apart from being close to the train line (the goods trains blow their horns throughout the night when passing through town), the music coming from inside the hotel was ridiculously loud. I went to take a look but there was no one there other than a DJ - the dance floor was empty! The noise level inside the room was above 60db with window rattling base, so sleep was impossible until the music stopped at about 11pm. I really can't recommend too much other than the bed and the location near the centre of town
