Gooderson Bushlands Game Lodge is an absolute gem! ?? Located in Hluhluwe, this lodge offers an unforgettable getaway surrounded by nature and wildlife. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making our stay truly special. We stayed in a comfortable chalet with a lovely view, and the pool was perfect for relaxing. The food was delicious.The lodge is also close to the Hluhluwe game park, snake park, and cheetah rescue centre, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. The lodge has peaceful atmosphere and stunning surroundings more than made Would definitely recommend Gooderson Bushlands Game Lodge for a relaxing and nature-filled getaway!

Stayed in the self-catering ‘Nyala Lodge’, which literally had anywhere from 4-12 actual Nyala grazing around the pool and gardens at almost all times. Excellent room and pool facilities. Clean braai stand outside each unit. Ate in the restaurant several times for supper, the food was excellent and the service top quality. We also had a nightly visit from the bush babies at the restaurants “bush baby buffet” The location is a huge bonus here, very close drive to both Hluhluwe-iMfolozi park and St. Lucia. Plenty of places with shops etc a short drive away as well. Roads in and out are obviously gravel but in good shape. The property is well maintained and clean The real standout for us though was the staff. Absolutely the friendliest, kindest most hardworking people who all went out of their way to make our time there a special memory. We will be back soon and often

Had a wonderful stay. Food was good and service excellent. Will definitely come back, just wish WiFi was better. I would have shared more pics of the resort, sadly it was too slow and no cellphone signal.

Always a good treat to get away and not have to worry about food. They are extremely accommodating, if you want to leave early to get to the park they will make a plan and open up for you, also flexible on the times you would like to eat breakfast. The staff are friendly and the units were clean.

Relaxing time had with good value for money. Meals were really good and homely with a wide selection. Staff very friendly and willing to assist. Rooms were comfortable. Nice setting surrounded by bush and connected by walkways. We would go back.

Please throughly maintain your balcony and railings wood plank before somebody else get hurt, otherwise great service and location.

We spent Christmas at the lodge. The staff were absolutely superb, the rooms were spotlessly clean and the dinner and breakfast we had there were delicious. I will definitely recommend the lodge especially to anyone wanting to be immersed in nature. The boardwalks are so great to walk along and the viewing deck is the perfect spot for an afternoon sundowner.

We had such a stunning bush getaway, stayed in the self catering unit overlooking the swimming pool and it was neat and cleaned every day. Was so quite just with the bush surrounding us and the animals visiting (lots of bush bucks) while we sat on the porch in the afternoons, and we got lucky as a Giraffe came to visit late in the evenings. If you want peace and quite and want to be surrounded by bush and animals then this is the spot to be.

I recently was again with a group of people at gooderson Bushlands lodge, and again it was “ok”. Some people did not had water, others mentioned that cleanliness was a bit on the poor site. My own room was spacious but the tv was removed and only wires hanging out of the wall and it smelled a bit damp, but otherwise ok. All in all nothing serious. But what is unexceptionable is that staff takes stuff, not theirs. I left a very expensive headlight behind, realized it the same day and phoned in the same evening. I asked if it please can be couriered to Cape Town before my flight back in 13 days. Wich was assured. However after more then a week I got a phone call I need to organise a courier to pic it up and bring it to Cape Town. Not only have now precious 8 days past, I was also expected to organise a courier while on holiday. Needless to say I had to fly back without my goods. On later enquiries it was told one does not know where the headlight is! This is theft in my opinion as it was clearly found by staff and brought to reception and management. Unacceptable !!
