Oh dear! Had 2 nights in Jan 2026.people lovely but resort tired and needs investment. website photos belied the reality- arrived to find restaurant “ temporarily closed, wi fi not working. Room cold and damp - clothing was wet to feel in the morning . Rooms with best views very noisy due to overlooking (and close to) a busy road that has lorries travelling pretty much 24/7.

Stayed here for two nights in order to enjoy the area around Mt. Kinabalu. The good: The views Very warm shower with good pressure. The hotel connected us with a very pleasant. driver. Big portions. The bad: Playing loud club music during breakfast (pointless and not very atmospheric). The big portions of food were unfortunately quite bland. The only beer served was canned Carlsberg. Small rooms. It would have been nice with a common area where you could hang out, instead of spending time in the small rooms. Maybe I'm being harsh, but considering the price (around 100 USD per night, high for Malaysian standards), there is a lot of potential for improvement.

The place is pretty over-worn, the “resort” in the name is overpromising, there’s little to do on the property and it’s not comfortable. We planned 2 nights there but cut it to only 1 night. We were given the noisiest room we’ve ever had. End even though they said in a message prior to our arrival that the room is a little noisy, we truly believe that room 9 does not meet the criteria to be offered to travellers, even with a prior worning. But it’s not the noise alone that cut us off, but the overall experience. We had one of the best coffees in Borneo there though.

Gorgeous views from a beautiful mountain resort and very close to the national park entrance. The rooms are spacious and comfortalbe, water was hot for nice showers, the bed and pillow very nice-firm enough but not too firm. Their restaurant is lovely-delicious and vaired food options and the views are specatucular!

How do Heaven on earth look like? It's beautiful and wonderful! Best of all our trip. Right from our balcony. Great scenery. Great services. Most important-Great food in restaurant and cafe! Must book once reservation open. A very hot-spot. Room with balcony is the greatest!

Little cozy set up with basic room set up but complemented with good service and good food at the cafe and restaurant. View from the room was pine trees and thick fog but rooms are not sound proof as the traffic from the road below is quite loud, especially at night. Otherwise, it was a pleasant and cold one night stay.

A good chef who really knows how to make a simplest ingredients shine ! Keep It Up Chef! Family dinner 14 March 24, At Coffee House of Mountain Valley Resort . Tried 8 main dishes and truly amazed by how well it was prepared, we loved it so much !!!

We stayed at Room #6 which which has a large balcony that offers stunning view of the valley. This resort is quite small with only 15 rooms but it’s a very beautiful resort and well maintained. The rooms are spacious enough and fully equipped. It has a open concept cafe and also a coffee house that serves really delicious foods and drinks. The best part is the coffee house offers uninterrupted view of Mount Kinabalu (if there’s no cloud or fog covering it). We love this place so much and will definitely come again for a longer period. Please note this resort is about 15min drive to Kundasang town. You will need a transport to move around.

Quaint and cosy resort with a beautiful views of Mount Kinabalu and the nearby valleys. Very friendly staff and amazing food. The grounds of the resort is very beautiful with various flowers and plants. Would definitely return to this resort when I return to Kundasang again.

The hotel located before the Kundasang town area. Location is good. If the weather is good, you can see the magical mountain view from the kloud restaurant. Room are clean and spacious. We stayed at the Signature Superior Deluxe with balcony room. The room is facing the valley & glass restaurant. Bathroom is clean and good. If you are lazy to walk out from the hotel to hunt for food, dont worry. The KLOUD Restaurant serves very nice menu from western to local delights. Recommended for the fried rice with Tuhau and Nasi Lemak. They served one of the best coffee in Kundasang as well! Dont feel like dine indoor? Then opt to dine at the glass restaurant. Good environment. Its a prefect place to have a cup of coffee with a slice of cake. They dont have babycot. However, you may request for an extra bed with extra charges. The carpark is somewhere downstair that you need to carry or pull your luggage all the way up to your room. But no problem, you may get their friendly staff to assist you as well. Will definitely back and stay at there again next time!
