Friendly & wonderful staff, clean and beautiful room, delicious hot & healthy breakfast included.

Room has everything you need. It is kept very clean. Nice pool. Restaurants close by, nice food good staff service but expensive. Small improvements. New hairdryer needed, cut out every minute of use, noisy fridge in room. The previous person turned it off so it was full of water. The bed was quite hard, but ok. We upgraded from a budget room, not much better.

I had sent 2 emails to inform lodge i would check in at 2.30 am; no one was on reception when I arrived. Had to wait 20 minutes for guy to show. They’d put in very loud room beside very busy dual carriageway. In the end they upgraded me to quieter room but still heard construction noise banging from neighbouring compound throughout the night. I left a 10,000 franc tip for dinner one night; that was mistakenly put on check out bill for $10. It is beautiful but I have quite a few buts….

A bit dated, bathroom leaks, needs to be upgraded
This place came highly recommended and it seemed promising as a charming boutique hotel with great hospitality. However a lot left to be desired. First our room had leaks in the toilet and the shower drain was backed up causing our whole bathroom to flood into our room. Calling for service was difficult they came multiple times and repair guy walked into the bath with his rubber shoes and made our shower muddy. Then it took a while before other staff came to clean and mop the floor. Breakfast spread looked fantastic and so many food options but everything tasted bland and was a huge letdown. Staff were friendly but overall it felt impersonable, unprofessional, and lacking.

We stayed in the standard. It is very safe with security 24 hours.
The staff are very helpful and can arrange anything. The rooms a clean, heaps of storage, goid ensuite and comfy netted bed with A/C. Decor is dated. Free WiFi and great breakfast.
They have a excellent pool and offer gym, yoga and free massage.
They can arrange tours and transport.
There are bars and restaurants within 15 minutes walking of hotel. We found it safe as the area seemed business like.
We walked to a great restaurant called The Bistro.
This Kiyovu district has a mall with shops and is a 15 minute walk from the hotel.

Great setting with greenery all around. Lots of security 24/7. Gym, bar lovely. Nothing close to walking to as of shopping though.

The property was beautiful! So close to city center but you would never know it as it is built in the landscape and looks like a private tropical retreat
The staff could not do enough for you and very notable that they cared about every experience
The food was spectacular. We had breakfast lunch and dinner there. Our group did the wine pairing 6 course dinner. Do not miss this but skip lunch and go hungry. The meal and wine selection was to perfection. The bartender complimented each portion of the meal with a beautiful description of each wine with its origin! Just amazing!
I highly recommend the seamstress to make you or a loved one something special. I had them make my son a shirt and I just showed her a picture of him!! It was a perfect fit. So special!
We also had our laundry done and I would highly recommend that if you have a lengthier stay
A few things that could improve
- outside our boutique room 108 early morning was the employees starting their day just gathering and talking but woke us up. They were doing nothing wrong and unaware of their conversation waking us
It was also the spot if some power washing cars and whatever other items and that started at 6 am.
The evening receptionist caused confusion ever transaction. She actually forgot to check us out and called us and asked us to turn around and come back. If you know the traffic to airport in Kigali you will know that is not a request to be making. She needs more guidance as she is in training

Not bad but needs some improvement
Room was not that spacious, and we encountered a couple of issues with our bathroom: shower drain was clogged and water overflowing into the rest of the bathroom and our room! That same evening we noticed the water closet or bidet leaking water again in the bathroom.
Water pressure was very bad and hot water only worked a couple of minutes before switching to cold then back again to hot. It was disruptive and honestly annoying.
Food at breakfast looked good but tasted bland. Everything lacked salt or was unseasoned, a total missed opportunity and a wonder because we heard good things about the restaurant.
It was good enough to sleep in, but consider other options when staying in Kigali.
