Went to the sister accommodation (bondgate) which was lovely so we decided on a return trip - this time to the Tait, room 3. What can I say - absolutely gorgeous! It has its own bathroom, snug and balcony as well as a huge bedroom. Immaculately clean and cosy, including the chairs and bed. Fantastic high quality extras like hot chocolate, biscuits, sweets and top quality toiletries, big TV and fridge. Planning a return for our 39th wedding anniversary at the end of next month and now really looking forward to it. Lots of stairs upto the bedroom and the 2 associated rooms so need to be mobile. Kitchen and dining area available downstairs. Although on the main road it has good double glazing. Beautiful period building in the centre of town ?? ?? Thank you !!!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay and lack of breakfast was actually better with no rush to eat & check out. Plenty of lovely places to enjoy something to eat. Parking across from house was an experience and I got a bit ‘stuck’ in the lane but the most helping ‘man in a hat’ who helped me extract my car from his garden was so lovely. Glad I managed to catch him and give him a thank you card as I was leaving Alnwick. Will definitely be visiting & staying again. Thanks to you too Leo for sorting out payment issue.

We had a lovely 2 night stay here, used as a base to attend a wedding at Charlton Hall. Our room (Room 1) was quite basic but clean and had everything we needed. A complementary tea tray with coffee, various types of tea & biscuits! Ensuite was small but clean with toiletries & lovely fluffy white towels! Bed & pillows were comfy, The pub (The Plough) across the road was available for free car parking Was a short 10 min taxi ride to Charlton Hall (thanks Steve from RSM taxis)

A well run and comfortable base in Alnwick. Whilst it was not without faults - the plug in the ensuite basin didn't quite fit and the cord was broken on the venetian blind meaning it could not be raised - it was superb value for money at ￡50 a night for a small double room. The "fresh" milk in the kitchen was 10 days out of date but I can live with long life sachets.

Very impressed with the b&b, was very clean and nicely furnished.Room 1 was very comfortable. Had breakfast both mornings and it was lovely. Host was very polite and pleasant. Thank you for a good stay

I stayed at Leo's B&B for one night on a business trip. I had booked the smallest room in the house which was very cute and plenty big enough for one person. I saw one of the larger rooms and can say that they are very spacious and perfect for couple and families. The decor of the entire place is impeccable - even the health and safety signage in the bedrooms is printed and framed nicely. I arrived late and Leo met me and recommended a great place for dinner, sending me a text to remind me of the door code to get back in, just in case I forgot. Leo is super friendly, helpful and cooks an awesome breakfast. The room and bathroom were clean enough to eat off the floor - the cream/white carpets in my room look as though they must be steam cleaned every day. I will definitely be back to Alnwick one day and would not hesitate to stay here again. It's about a 60 second walk to the castle and gardens too!

Finding Tate House was easy and, as suggested, we accessed the Plough car park via the lane as opposed to the archway and got parked easily. The first thing to say about Tate House is that it is very clean and smart with good quality decor and furnishings. Our room (no 3) is at the top of the house with a large and very smart bedroom; a separate small snug with a couple of chairs, fridge etc., and a balcony. It also has a separate bathroom, which involved some careful negotiation of stairs for my frequent nightly visits, but I managed fine. We found the accommodation to be smart, comfortable and ideally situated - a five minute stroll to the centre of town. We would certainly be happy to use it again.

One of the best "single" rooms I have stayed in. Cosy, warm, inviting and comfortable. Lovely quiet room at the back (room 1) comfortable bed and nice linen. Very good tea tray, and everything you think that you might need was provided for. Location perfect Check in easy Good communication All in all excellent!

A perfect place to stay in beautiful Alnwick. Small but perfectly formed, room 1 was ideal for a couple of nights. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed and pillows and very thoughtful extras to ensure guests comfort. Also a well appointed lounge for residents’ use. A great place to return to after exploring the delights of the beautiful North East. Plenty of bars and restaurants on the doorstep for evening refreshments and Barter Books just up the road for an excellent breakfast. We loved it!
