Great stay overall. Room was clean and spacious with nice amenities and a large bathroom. Complimentary mini bar and welcome drinks was a great touch. Guests are welcome to walk or jog around the vineyard. Me and partner jogged around the vineyard, we loved it. The estate is beautiful and the views from the main courtyard is amazing. Breakfast was ok and not very accommodating when it came to ordering a different combination of hot menu items (was initially told we were going to be charged extra). Then they rescinded that at the end. The service at the restaurant for dinner was quite poor. Requested removing the chorizo from the starter which was ignored. We also essentially poured our own wine. Otherwise the service was good. The front desk helped arrange private transfers with short lead time.

Nossa experiência no Asara foi excelente, do come?o ao fim. Desde a chegada, o atendimento foi leve, acolhedor e muito eficiente. O check-in foi rápido e feito com uma simpatia genuína, daquelas que já fazem a gente desacelerar logo ao entrar. O quarto era ótimo. Muito espa?oso, extremamente limpo, bem cuidado, com uma vista linda. A cama merece destaque: confortável de verdade, com rouparia de ótima qualidade — daquelas noites de sono que a gente sente no dia seguinte. O Asara tem produ??o própria de vinhos e fomos recebidos com uma degusta??o logo na chegada, o que foi um gesto muito especial. No café da manh? n?o há vinho, mas isso em nada diminui a experiência. O cardápio é muito bem pensado, com ótimas op??es e um formato inteligente, que foge daquelas mesas gigantes e exageradas que costumam gerar desperdício. Tudo com cuidado e inten??o. Para mim, o ponto alto foi o spa. Viajo bastante e já conheci muitos spas pelo mundo, e posso dizer com tranquilidade que nunca tinha feito uma massagem facial t?o boa. Extremamente relaxante, muito bem executada e com efeitos que permaneceram por bastante tempo. Realmente marcante. O que também impressiona é a sensa??o de lugar. Fundado em 1691, o Asara carrega sua história de forma elegante. A vista é linda, a arquitetura é encantadora e há pequenos detalhes por toda a propriedade que surpreendem sem esfor?o. Mesmo para quem n?o se hospeda, a visita vale muito a pena. O hotel promove degusta??es, o espa?o é belíssimo e é um lugar perfeito para um almo?o sem pressa. N?o encontramos absolutamente nada que precisasse ser melhorado. Tudo foi feito com aten??o e cuidado, do início ao fim. Voltaria com certeza e recomendo sem hesitar.

I visited this estate on January 3. The service was poor and very disorganized. I assume our guide reserved on advance - and Asara has given me no info to the contrary - but they were totally unprepared for our group. Everyone in the group commented on the poor service. I left a review on another platform, and the GM Charl Schoeman invited me to send an email. I did and the GM never replied —further evidence this place is poorly managed.

The Asara was by far our top stay during our time in SA. A long sweeping driveway amongst the vines leading to the hotel surrounded by spectacular views and a variety of birds and ducks. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The welcome drink and complimentary bottle of wine in our room a nice touch. The view from our balcony was breathtaking. Wine tasting a must as Asara wines are award winning and plenty to suit everyone. Food options from the wine bar to courtyard to Raphael restaurant all excellent and very good value. Spa treatments available in designated treatment room for good prices. I appreciate the hotel has clearly undergone some refurbishment and suspect the pool area will be the next addition. Cushions for the loungers would be an added touch and the steep grass verge to access would benefit from a path or steps. We would highly recommend and look forward to a return visit.

Wo soll ich anfangen? Die Menschen, die dort arbeiten sind alle sehr nett. Das Anwesen liegt wundersch?n an einem kleinen See, dahinter die Weinreben und in der Ferne die Berge. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig, frisches Obst und frische S?fte haben das Angebot abgerundet. Unser Zimmer war sehr gro?, das Bad hatte eine gro?e Badewanne sowie eine gro?e Dusche. Und dennoch werde ich nicht wiederkommen. Es fehlt die Atmosph?re, die sch?ne Stimmung. Die Sessel auf denen wir beim Essen sa?en haben alle gewackelt, an den Tischen und Stühlen war der Lack abgeplatzt, so dass es etwas ramschig wirkte. Am Schlimmsten empfand ich allerdings die Dauerbeschallung w?hrend der Mahlzeiten- irgendwelche Diskomusik aus den 80ern. Dabei h?tte die Kulisse an sich so viel Potential gehabt. Es fehlt an Stil , an W?rme, es war irgendwie seelenlos. Das Personal ist wirklich sehr freundlich, es wurden manche Sachen verwechselt aber das ist nicht schlimm. Das Anwesen hat Potential- jetzt gilt es mit Geschmack, sch?nen M?beln , Pflanzen und sch?nen Stoffen etwas Bezauberndes draus zu machen. Ich wünsche gutes Gelingen!

Stayed at Asara and absolutely loved it. Beautiful views surrounded by nature, spacious and comfortable rooms, and truly amazing service from the team. A very relaxing stay — would definitely recommend.
