1.5 hrs ride from YIA Airport, but conveniently linked to Pukawon Mall that has pretty much everything you need from nails spa, massage to cinema, shops, eateries, restaurants to supermarket. It's easy (and cheap) to get a grab (local Uber) so not a challenge to get around even to further places.
The room was spacious even for 2, including the bathroom area. Clean and well maintained, cute crab-shaped towel art and welcome amenities as a Bonvoy Gold member. Beds and pillows are a bit soft for my liking (even when I opted for a foam pillow from their pillow menu) but that's a personal preference. All amenities provided in the bathroom.
Service was amazing, such warm smiles and great initiative, from the bell boy who helped with our luggage immediately after we got off the car, to the friendly front desk staff, to the security guards who holds the doors open for us and most of all, the helpful and thoughtful housekeeping team. They saw that we had limited hanging space with too much clothes and put in a standing laundry rack for us, and additional bottles of water, all without asking. Special shout-out to Deelen, Wahyu for the superb service.
The pool looked amazing though I didn't get to try it this time.
Breakfast was also excellent, a wide spread of local, western and Asian. They also offer interesting local herbal beverages. Solomon was thoughtful and offered us to order special items off the buffet when he found out it was our 3rd day of having breakfast at the hotel.
Overall a wonderful stay and I'll be sure to stay here the next time I visit Jogja again.

Room was spacious, all hotel staffs were very nice and friendly, even during this Ramadan month. Welcome drink was provided when we arrived. Breakfast was great, room dining set was awesome. Will definitely come back again:) thanks for everything

如果到了日惹，请一定要住在万豪！！！位置方便，早餐好吃，房间设施新，泳池健身房都是一流！推荐推荐推荐！

酒店设施、服务、衞生都无可挑剔，就是希望作为一家外资酒店，电视能增加一些频道。本来订万豪酒店是为了今天早上看超级碗的，以为美资的酒店应该有这个条件，结果所有的电视频道没有一个转播，可能印度尼西亚有电视转播限制吧，稍微有点遗憾。

My family & I usually stay in T*ntr*m (been our no 1. option in Semarang, Yogyakarta, and Tangerang for a while), but considering NY traffic, decided hotel next to mall as safer option, and I think Marriott Yogya will be our no 1. option in Yogyakarta now.
PRE-STAY
Staying experience actually starts the second we finished the hotel reservation, maybe its long before we even arrive at the hotel. Most dont really optimize this.
What I will highlight is Marriott really put my requests (birthday decor in specific room, connecting rooms) into the system, where everyone can check. From the one handling the WhatsApp to the receptionist the day we arrive, Ilham. And they execute my request really well.
I've experienced some that forget my request and ended up decorating the wrong room, or not facilitating the request, even though they said they will facilitate.
*see pic 8 - 11. It doesnt have to be expensive, businesses have to calculate the cost and margin. Whats important, for me, is put some effort into it. Its part of making the stay memorable.
STAY
I love it when :
- the moment we arrive, the staff helps us by opening the car door, w/ the smile and greeting. Not from just one person, but every staff did the smile and greeting.
- Ilham texted that the other room is ready. Most just rely on guest will be the one to follow up, but not Marriott.
- we asked the way to mall entrance, the staff took us to the entrance, not just directing w/ hands.
- they put anti-slip mat in shower area (pic 6), such a functional addition for safety. Because aesthetic needs to meet w/ function.
- we went out at 8.30 in the morning for culinary & coffee around Yogyakarta and put the cleaning sign on, but forget to call, just to communicate that we want the room cleaned while we're out. 2,5 hours later when we're back, those 2 rooms are neat & tidy.
Some hotels dont notice the difference those make for guest(s).
These, for me, really help building the memorable staying exp.

已经是第二次入住了, 无论CHECK IN 房间 环境都仍然是一流. 楼下泳池够大就乾净. 早餐款式多又好味

A very good hotel with superb service. We were welcomed by hotel staff name Imran. He is very detailed and friendly. Imran knew that we were foreigners so he recommended a restaurant to us to try. It was indeed nice and yummy. Price was reasonable too. His recommendation has added good memory to our visit during November 2025. Thank you Imran.
