The check in procedure was confusing (already described in check in feedback). I described the ambiguity to the manager to avoid furture problems. Am not convinced that the Manager agreed with my point.

I liked it! It was a taste of Aussie country life close to the city. It is a no frills country pub. The sheets were clean and my feet didn't stick to the carpet. The room has hosted 100 years of drinkers, so it has been repaired a few times but for a country pub room, that's normal. It was quiet after 10 p.m. on a friday, even with the live band finishing up downstairs. The beer is cold and the bistro does pub meals. Sitting on the veranda at 3 on a Friday watching traffic, it feels like being at any other pub in Australia... A taste of home.

Basic room, very dated, but comfortable enough for a night. Friendly staff, told us the hotel is up for sale but needs a lot spending on it, so possibly not hopeful

We had a cabin for two people which was more than adequate and I must say the bed and pillows were the most comfortable we have had for a self catering stay. The unit had everything we needed for a week long stay, the air con was efficient and for someone from the UK the remote was a bit confusing but it kept us cool whilst the temperatures was in the 40s It took a day or two to get used to the bird scarer noises in the fields next to us and the creaking of the cabin when warming up or cooling down but it didn’t keep us awake. The spaciousness of the resort is very impressive and in fact the whole resort is very well laid out.

Everything about the presentation of Discovery Park was impressive. The staff were kind and welcoming, the location was great and the beds were clean and comfortable.

We went to Vlissingen for a one night stay for a family visit the day after. 2 adults and 3 kids under 4. We did a complete check in and out without actually needing to meet the staff and it was so smooth. Digital door keys up front in the app/mail and the staff contacted us by phone just to make sure we were all good and had everything we needed. The apartment was really neat and modern. Very nice bathroom and comfortable beds. The provided coffee cups however were not Nespresso original and got stuck in the machine twice. That was a bummer. Als we faced a little challenge by putting the infra red heaters off or at least lower than 23 degrees C. Would definitely recommend the stay.

The light on top of the coffee machine was out. I had to turn on the light in the room that woke up my husband also the reader light on top of the bed was out had to keep the light on in the bathroom so I could see. In the bathroom next to the shower, the tile black splash was very loose. It might’ve just have been placed there not sure didn’t touch it. The continental breakfast with excellent.

We had another fantastic stay with great hosts Jerry and Matt! We first visited VVI back when it opened in 2017. VVI continues to exude luxury, elegance and charm. Well-appointed rooms, common areas and tasty breakfasts! A great way to end our birthday trip to Oregon. Cheers!
