Upon entering An Stor guesthouse we were very well received. The place was spotless as was the bedroom also. The guest house was located right in the centre of Midleton which was so convenient for shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was continental with a lot of choices however you could get a full breakfast for an extra charge.. Good for a night or two but due to no extra seating outside the room having to stay in the room would not be ideal.

Maria is a wonderful host and very welcoming. She went above and beyond for our group. Our stay was lovely. The Townhouse is extremely quaint and relaxing. If you're looking for a great experience and find yourself in Midleton, book your stay at An Stor. you will not be disappointed.

A late booking, the proprietor Maria was very accommodating and lovely. We had a double room , top floor. Nice bed and we slept well. Rooms very basic but very clean. A little tlc needed for the rooms such as, filing up the hand soap, which was only just about 2 inches. And a touch up with the paint around the window etc. all Little things but just an observation. Maria coulnt have been more helpful with breakfast , although saying that when booking the room, it said that breakfast was included. It needs to be better explained as if you want a hot breakfast you have to be pay extra, which I don’t think if fair …

I’m currently stay at this B&B in Midleton & couldn’t wait to check out to write a review to let you know about this Great find. It’s a very central basic older style place, reflected in price. There’s a Big car park on the doorstep. It’s Immaculately clean. A very warm personal welcome awaits you. WoW…..I was blown away by the Breakfast. There was Locally smoked Salmon, never tasted anything so delicious, a variety of Locally baked Breads & a variety of homemade Cheeses, Nuts, Seeds Yogurt, Fresh Berries etc. also a cooked breakfast, should you prefer. Endless Tea/Coffee too. Looking forward to it all again tomorrow!

Lovely guest house Maria the owner couldn't do enough for you The breakfast was outstanding cold meats cereal, yoghurt, cheese lovely sourdough bread and for a small cost a fried breakfast. Our room could of done with a bit of upgrading (Robin room) Ideally situated in Midleton would recommend a trip to Cobh. Overall a great stay would return

The location of the townhouse was brilliant. The town is right behind it,couldn't be anymore central and within walking distance the Jameson Distillery. Parking outside the townhouse too. We stayed as a family two plus one child, the room was a nice size room and best of all it had a fridge, which always comes in handy as my daughter drinks so much juice and milk. The breakfast was superb. They have thought of everything. My daughter loves strawberry's and the little fruit dishes on the tables in the morning was a really great touch. The owners are very friendly.

We chose to stay in Midleton because we wanted to escape the buzz in Cork. The An Stor was one of our most favorite places during our three week long trip. One of us has ambulatory limitations and when Maria, the hostess and owner, observed her difficulties to climb the stairs, she changed our room from the second to the first floor without us having to ask for it [for Americans reading this, recall that outside of America, the first floor is one level above the “ground” floor]. Very compassionate and attentive. The beds were very comfortable, and there was an electric kettle and a fridge in the room. It was quiet and peaceful, just like Midleton. The breakfast the next morning was probably the best we were offered during all of our stay in Ireland. There was everything that anyone could ever want for a gourmet breakfast. Maria had so much variety in the best possible quality, and also offered eggs and bacon. Maria’s husband is a butcher and they clearly take a lot of pride in providing their guests with the best possible experience. There were incomparably tasty, fresh berries on the table. The avocado was perfect. The salmon was special, as it was Beech-smoked and we’re quite sure, this was the best smoked salmon we had in our life. It was caught locally and smoked locally with a smokehouse built by a friend of Maria’s husband. There was also a microwave in the breakfast room so you could make your own hot chocolate. Since we checked out on a less busy Sunday, Maria let us use our room for an hour longer than the usual checkout time. This was incredibly helpful since we had a lot of time on our hands before our bus was leaving, plus we were exhausted. And before I end, of course, we were lucky enough to meet the border collie Glen, who was well mannered and friendly and just a joy to be around. He is an elderly gent now and retired, but still the rightful chappie of An Stor house. We did not think that he begged or crowded us at the breakfast table but rather asked very politely and did not react offended when we declined offering him any goodies. This is an absolutely perfect place to stay as a home base to visit Cork, if you want some peace and to experience the slower pace of a smaller Irish town. We can’t recommend Maria’s place highly enough. We could not have had a better experience or a better hostess. We would love to return one day. Big thank you to Maria for everything you did for us.

Another flawless visit. Very flexible with check in time. It’s my 4th or 5th stay here and my first port of call when checking availability in the area. A two minute walk to the town centre make it a perfect location for all your needs be they business or social.

5*Townhouse with an amazing breakfast! Situated just of the main street, close to pubs and restaurants. Perfect for exploring Cork The host was amazing and so interesting. I wish I had more time to chat to her. Rooms clean and basic…. What more do you need. Loved having a fridge in my room to keep the local produce I bought cool and fresh. I will definitely stay here again should I be in the area.
